Nursery is hard

To say that Ryder has a hard time in nursery is an understatement. As a former nursery worker a couple of times over, I know that when parents drop off their kids to nursery and just go quickly the kid will cry for a while and them become distracted. Ryder screamed for 20 minutes so they brought him to me. We both went back to nursery and every time I would stand up or switch positions he would scream. I know it is all my fault, I never leave him anywhere. With E and Snugglebug I worked full time so they were used to me leaving, but Ry thinks that if I leave him I will never ever come back. I guess it will just take time and patience... great!

update on my MOM

My mom started to not feel well last Friday or so.. on Saturday she developed a terrible pain in her right side with a slight fever, later that night she started to feel better and even into Sunday morning she felt a little better. Sunday afternoon the pain returned and it was crippling for her. My dad took her to the ER Monday midmorning and from there they took her by ambulance to UofU Hospital. They did emergency surgery at around midnight to remove a very angry and infected gall bladder (she was near septic). She had a rough time on Tuesday, she was very disoriented and very sleepy. Wednesday she was more "with it" and was able to come home. She is now resting comfortably in her bed being cared for by my dad and Angie.
I am so thankful that this whole thing turned out the way it did (it could have gone very badly).

Thank you all for your concern and prayers!

.CHEESE. BALL.

This is the best cheese ball ever. My grandma used to make it and now every time I make it I think of her and smile.

2 8oz bricks of cream cheese softened
3T Pimento spread (kraft) you get it by the velveeta cheese stuff
1T worchestershire
1/3 Cup dried onion (minced)
1tsp vinegar
3/4tsp mustard
1/4tsp garlic salt
1/4tsp Accent
1/2tsp Tabasco

1/2 Cup chopped nuts (I use peacans)

Mix all ingredients except nuts together
Refrigerate 1/2 hour
Form into ball and roll into nuts

I think this tastes best on WHEAT THINS..

this is after the kids got to it and decorated it with the wheat thins..

the annual party

My dad's side of the family has a Christmas party every year, I can remember when I was little and it was held in my uncle's basement...good times...We are a much larger family now and for the longest time it has been held at a church. In the "good-old-days" the matriarchs of the family did all of the preparing, cooking and organizing. Three or four years ago they fazed that duty on to the next generation, meaning me and my willing cousins. Jody, Corinne, Dana and Marianne did most of the work and I helped a little, they amaze me! It was a great party, we had lots of hot chocolate, a baked potato bar, lots of treats, Santa, a game in which we decorated our parents like Christmas trees and of course the all important pinata!
Ethan and Archer got to sit on Santa's lap, Ryder was sleeping, but he did get in on the pinata action later. Needless to say it was a great party.. Thanks everyone that prepared, attended and helped clean up.
