Ryder turns 1

I cannot believe that my baby turned 1 today. Where did the year go?!?!? We had a fun day. We watched the big brothers as they had their swimming lessons, we ate lunch and took a nap with the new blankie and when dad got home we started the party. Ryder got his own cake and he was kind of cautious at first but then he realized that it was ok to make a mess. He loved all of the presents he received (so did Archer).

Saturday is a special day..

Not only because we get ready for Sunday, but because we get to have the most fun on this day. Eric has the day off and we can all be together without having to worry about being some other place. Yesterday Ethan and Archer were both at a friends house so Eric and I took the baby to the store to try out some toys to see what he would like for his birthday, more about that on Monday. We ended up buying a little swimming pool for the boys. We had a little pool last year and Ethan lived in it, the only trouble was that there were always dead bugs and grass floating in it. This little pool that we bought has a filter, genius!!! After a couple of days I'm sure the water temp will warm up and the kids will turn into fish.

The trampoline is finally here!!

I have sore muscles and Eric has a very bruised hand but the trampoline is put together and in commission!! The boys love to bounce, but Archer doesn't like the BIG bounces. Ethan is getting more brave everytime he gets up there. I can almost do all the tricks I used to do as a teen, I think Eric is expecting me to hurt myself. Tonight we all spent about an hour and a half together and having fun. This is the best purchase we have made in a really long time.

Ryder has stared to crawl like a big boy, but only outside!!! I am so tired of the dirty belly!

Sunny Fun

Two and 1/2 words for you... SLIP'N SLIDE!!!!! Ethan, Archer and Alex (grandma and grandpa's dog) had lots of fun playing, Ryder not so much. Saturday was a great day. Ethan helped Eric fix some shingles on our house in Overlake, it was lots of hard work in the hot sun. It was great to see Ethan that tired. We all went to see Kung Foo Panda and I highly recomend this movie. We all loved it. After it cooled down outside, we weeded the flower garden. All in all I would call it a near perfect day.

the Purple Cow

Archer has been practically begging me to go to the library to check out "Click, Clack, Moo". Of course it is the last thing on my list of things to do during the day. Needless to say we never did make it to the library. Today we visted the Purple Cow bookstore here in Tooele. It was so great! The ladies there were right there helping us out and making sure they knew what kind of books the boys were interested in. We did buy Archer his favorite book and Ethan was able to find a book he wanted to read. They have preschool storytime every Tuesday at 10A.M. I will definately be attending that faithfully!

Happy Birthday Grandpa Dave!! We know that you are having way too much fun with your "other" grandkids, but we really know who you like better!! Don't each too much cake and ice cream (your bum may fall off). Turn your cell phone off and take the rest of the day off ; )
